Each book in this collection is reviewed separately.The Golden Dragon's Unexpected Mate - Wow what an excellent way to start this new series. Golden Dragon King Damari was used to everyone doing everything he said as it kind of came with the territory of being king, he was instantly intrigued by Miko who came to the island to act as photographer for his boyfriend George’s article he’s writing. Miko has been fascinated with the dragons since they came out to the world but his boyfriend George wants to find out what the dragons are after as they’ve been around for years and all of a sudden they come out that they exist to the humans. George constantly puts Miko down. Miko accidentally gets on the radar of Damari’s grandmother Avia, she snaps at him until Gabriel the head of security explains the situation to Avia in which she’s very nice to him after that, Avia tells Damari about what happened so Miko is called into Damari’s office, Miko thinks he’s getting in trouble for bringing a d*ldo to the island since when he got back to his room it was no longer in his bag, he gives Damari a piece of his mind which intrigues him since everyone usually bows down to him, dresses to impress or is shocked by all the opulence which Miko isn’t. Due to what happened with Avia, Damari invites Miko to dine at his table at dinner and from there their connection grows, especially after George forces Miko to leave dinner without eating to go see Jules who happens to be the original photographer George was going to bring on the trip and Miko realises that George is sleeping with Jules and has been for awhile so he dumped Miko and told him to find a new place to sleep and leave the island when next the next ferry is. I loved the connection between Damari and Miko and it was cool that even though Miko is human and mated to a dragon king he’d still happily give Damari a piece of his mind. I loved how the dragons have a mating fire when the find and be intimate with their mates and I loved the glowing orb on the bearers tummy which grows smaller as the baby grows it’s a cool twist. I’m invested in this series now and I’m looking forward to reading about the other dragons.The Diamond Dragon's Manny Mate - I thoroughly enjoyed this story but some things seemed very rushed when something bad happened there wasn’t much uproar and it was forgiven or solved quickly. Man the Diamond Dragon King Sebastian was an horrible a*se when he was first introduced but it’s understandable as he’s grieving his mate Shiloh who died giving birth to their daughter Shae, he has had the whole kingdom wearing black, there’s been no music nor any fresh plants or flowers for the last 5 years. Flynn is a thief who has planned to do one more job to help his sister afford his nephew’s expensive asthma medication and took a job to steal some kind of diamond from the diamond dragons, he applied for a job on the island as a groundskeeper as Quinn Masters for a cover so he could look around the grounds to see if he could locate the diamond but when he arrived Princess Sorsha assigned to waitstaff so he was inside the castle.On his first day he was to clean all the fireplaces and walked into the first room where he saw a diamond dragon basically passed out drunk and had no idea that it was actually King Sebastian lol they really didn’t get off on the right foot and to make matters worse when he was cleaning upstairs he heard a high pitched voice saying hello and looked under a seat and a wee girl about 5 years old was under there and it happened to be Princess Shae which he was shocked about as he had no idea that Sebastian had a daughter as he hadn’t found that in his research, he held out his hand which after some questioning Shae took and they proceeded to go downstairs and knocked on Sorsha’s door to tell her that she found Shae but it was Sebastian and he flipped his lid at Flynn since he was with his daughter, Flynn basically told him what happened and didn’t back down. Sorsha ended up giving Flynn a different job being Shae’s Manny which he ended up taking but still felt guilty since he’s there to steal from Shae but he enjoys spending time with Shae. I really enjoyed the connection between Sebastian and Flynn and it was great once everything got sorted out and all the lies were brought to the open. I wish the conflict with Avia would’ve lasted longer but I’m guessing it’ll probably will carry over to the next books. I’m looking forward to reading King Vale, Blaze and Landon’s story.The Emerald Dragon's Treasured Mate - I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought it was the best of the series so far. I loved the connection between Emerald Dragon King Vale, his best friend/advisor Blaze and Diamond dragon guard Landon. Landon is adorable. When Landon arrived at the Garden with Princess Sorsha and some other guards with an asleep and bound Avia to ask for her to be put in the Garden’s dungeon, to say that Vale isn’t happy and thinks that it isn’t the Emerald dragons issue but finally agrees for her to be held in the dungeon for 24 hours and that’s it, he offers them a place to stay. Landon is his clumsy self and Vale is intrigued by him so after talking to Landon he agrees that he’ll hold Avia for longer if Landon agrees to stay and can be a representative between the diamond and emerald dragons, Landon agrees and starts to get to know Vale. Vale and Blaze have history but Blaze left 10 years ago and vowed to never come back because he didn’t believe in everything Vale was doing as King.To say that their reunion was a completely happy one was an understatement and it didn’t help that Blaze was called back to the Garden because he felt the call of his mate, this angered and upset Vale because he knew that it wasn’t him that brought Blaze back even though he asked but as soon as Blaze sets his eyes of Landon he knows that Landon is his mate. Him and Vale get into it on multiple occasions and start to fight over Landon so Landon finally makes a decision to take matters into is own hands and get Vale and Blaze into Vale’s room and is totally okay with them staying together to resolve their issues as when they’re together their chemistry is off the charts but Vale and Blaze know that they’ve tried to make it work before and they have such differing opinions but Landon can be their bridge that connections them. Landon being Landon tries to run the next morning and Vale and Blaze work together to show him that they all work together and that no of them would work as just a couple. Wow this book had a lot more action than previous books and that Avia strikes again. I’m looking forward to reading the final book in the series and to get to know the Onyx dragon king and whether they’re as ruthless as everyone thinks.The Onyx Dragon's Accidental Mate - I loved getting an insight into the Onyx Dragons and especially King Azra. It was great to see that they weren’t as harsh as portrayed in the other stories, yes they’re not as welcoming as the other tribes but that’s just how they’re made. I loved the connection between Azra and Elby, Elby was promised to Azra’s nephew Crius since birth but they were only best friends that love each other but aren’t in love with each other. Elby has always had a crush on Azra who was kind of like his guardian and Azra has always had feelings for Elby but due to the age difference and how different Elby is compared to other Onyx dragons he would never condemn Elby to a life with him as he needs an heir and Onyx dragon pregnancies are really harmful as the baby is very strong and could break the bearers ribs etc. Azra decides to throw a masquerade ball for his people but really it is to find a mate, he forbids Elby and Crius for attending, Crius tries but doesn’t get in as the guards have been ordered that they can’t attend Crius tells Elby that he couldn’t get in so shall they just go home and get drunk but Elby tells him that he’s going to try, he gets in and chooses the mask that Azra actually designed for him but knew that he wouldn’t be there.Elby told himself that he should just pretend to be like the other Onyx dragons and to act like he isn’t even there and it’s like he’s a different person, he sees Azra dancing with someone and then a guard gives Azra a drink but Elby is worried that it could be poisoned so he cuts in with Azra’s dance partner and Azra is more than happy to dance with the mysterious stranger who he’s imaging is Elby but it can’t be since he isn’t there, they turn out to be mates and quickly bond and never take their masks off so Azra has no idea that his mate is actually Elby until Elby takes off his mask, to say that Azra was shocked and then angry but really he was just scared as he never wanted Elby to have to be hurt being their baby into the world and said some really unfortunate things that Elby thought Azra meant that he’d get a doctor to get rid of their unborn child but Azra just wanted to get him checked out. I loved that Crius and Azra became closer in this book as their relationship was very strained. I loved how Elby was the voice of reason when Azra was wanting to go to war with the other dragons and Elby told him maybe they actually do want peace and that it’s not a trick. I’m looking forward to Crius’s story it should definitely be interesting read.I’d definitely recommend this collection, each book in the series and author to everyone.
